Among their first targets was a woman named Noimie Edillor, a purchasing manager for the organization whom Le Roux had also paid to help move contraband through customs. He now believed she had taken the money and failed to deliver the goods. She also worked part time as a real estate agent, so Le Roux—after assign- ing Noyt to conduct surveillance on her—suggested that Hunter's kill team pretend to be potential buyers, make an appointment to look at some houses, and then kill her inside an empty one.

On the evening of June 23, 2011, the thirty-one-year-old Edillor told her husband that she was showing a property in a subdivision. He drove her to the entrance and dropped her off. When Le Roux, per his usual policy, asked Hunter for proof that the mission had been completed, Hunter emailed him a link to a local news story describing the murder. "There is your fucking proof," Hunter wrote. "Have my guys money tomorrow. They're running around doing your crazy shit and you insult them."

The murder remained unsolved.

Edillor's killing provided Hunter with the template for the tar- geting of Catherine Lee, the next name on Le Roux's list. The prob- lem was finding someone to do it. Le Roux had already ordered his South African hit man, Marcus, to conduct surveillance on Lee, but he was unavailable to complete the job. De Meyer and Mac Daddy had gone AWOL after the Edillor murder. So instead Hunter turned to an American named Adam Samia living in Rox- boro, North Carolina.

Samia had worked for The Company briefly years before, devel-
